FreightScan, a developer and deployer of technology solutions for the freight and logistics industry, has named Fran Harris as its new sales and marketing manager for the Eastern and Central United States. She is responsible for the implementation and guidance of the sales and marketing efforts of FreightScan products throughout a region stretching from New York to Chicago.

Ms. Harris brings more than 20 years of air cargo experience to FreightScan, serving most recently as manager of marketing and special projects for Cargo Network Services (CNS) Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), where since 1999 she was responsible for the design and promotion of products and services that enhanced awareness of the company’s contributions to the air cargo industry. She was cited as the architect of the CNS Partnership Conference 2008 and was responsible for the sales management and publication of Air Cargo Focus magazine and the development and sale of CASS-USA statistics. She previously served in a number of management positions with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.

“We are very pleased to have Ms. Harris join our sales and marketing team,” said Sheri Ascencio, Executive Vice President of Marketing for FreightScan. “She is highly regarded throughout the air cargo industry and adds a great deal of experience and ability to our expanding management team. We are confident that she will help us continue to enhance our position as a major technology solution provider for the international air cargo industry.”
