The Truck Renting and Leasing Association announced that Tom Rozuk — manager of national fleet sales for Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions — has been selected to serve as TRALA’s 2009 annual meeting chairman. Rozuk has more than 38 years of experience in the tire industry, the majority of them in the commercial truck tire segment.
“TRALA’s leadership is pleased to have an individual with such an extensive industry resume leading our membership and staff in the preparation for our 2009 annual meeting,” says Peter Vroom, TRALA president and chief executive officer. “Tom and the entire team at Bridgestone Firestone and Bandag have been tremendous supporters of our industry and association for many, many years. I know that with Tom at the helm this year, our annual meeting will continue as the premier event for the entire industry.”
In his capacity as manager of national fleet sales, Rozuk is responsible for the development, management and direction of Bridgestone commercial tire and Bandag retread sales for key national fleet customers for the East region of North America. He also is responsible for support and management of commercial national fleet business activities, with direct staff oversight of strategic national fleet managers and fleet account executives. Rozuk started as a territory sales manager for Bridgestone in 1984 and moved through the ranks to his current managerial position. Prior to joining Bridgestone, Rozuk served as commercial/retail store manager for General Tire in Detroit and Syracuse, N.Y., from 1975 to 1984.
