Truckers across the United States seeking immediate availability of Michelin tires and emergency roadside assistance now have 237 additional service locations, as Michelin Americas Truck Tires and InterStar North America Inc. announced Monday, Aug. 4, the signing of a cooperative agreement that expands the offering of Michelin tires — including the X One wide single — to InterStar’s nationwide emergency roadside services. The agreement is now in effect.

“Emergency road service is a vital component in keeping trucks moving across the country,” said Guy Pekle, vice president of replacement sales for Michelin Americas Truck Tires. “It is essential for us to ensure that truckers who choose to run on Michelin tires have the best possible access to our products in an emergency. InterStar has long been a service provider to the trucking community, and we believe that this expansion of Michelin product availability, both standard dual tires and X One tires, is a great advantage for truckers.”

“Partnering with Michelin and expanding our offering of their products makes good business sense for us,” says John Shortridge, InterStar’s chief executive officer. “Michelin has always manufactured top-quality truck tires, but today we are seeing more and more trucks running on Michelin X One wide single tires. It is evident that these tires are proving their worth with fleets, and we want to be ready to service these customers while they are on the road.”
