Comdata Corp., a provider of payment systems, introduced an electronic filing solution for Internal Revenue Service Heavy Vehicle Use Tax Return Form 2290. Congress has mandated electronic filing of Form 2290 for all carriers with 25 or more vehicles. Comdata’s electronic solution will make it simple and easy for carriers to comply with this mandate, the company says.
Comdata says it is licensed as an authorized IRS e-filer and will offer carriers a choice for e-filing. The self-service option will provide carriers the flexibility to handle the majority of the filing themselves, while the full-service option features knowledgeable Comdata experts who will assist carriers throughout the process, according to the company.
