The Colorado State Patrol and the Denver Police Department have announced special routing for hazardous materials transporters during the Democratic National Convention Aug. 23-30. Route-controlled quantities of hazmat will be restricted from downtown Denver, except for local pickup and delivery.

The restrictions apply for traveling southbound on I-25 from the junction with I-76 to the junction of I-225, and northbound from the I-225 junction to the junction with I-76. For full details on the hazmat route restictions, click here.

All truck drivers are reminded that they can expect delays if traveling through Denver during the convention. Drivers should allow extra travel time for traveling through the Denver metro area.
