Oliver Rubber announced Wednesday, Sept. 3, a price increase of up to 6 percent on its Oliver and MegaMile brand pre-cure and bonding gum products in North America, effective Sept. 15. The Greenville, S.C.-based company attributed the increase to the continually rising costs of raw material, energy and transportation.

Oliver Rubber, a subsidiary of Michelin North America, sells retread rubber under the Oliver and MegaMile brands for commercial, industrial and over-the-road tires. The company, which has a network of Oliver brand licensees throughout North America, operates a retread rubber production facility in Asheboro, N.C., and a retread equipment division in Salisbury, N.C.
