The new edition Early 49 CFR Parts 100-185, Hazmat Transportation Regulations, revised as of Oct. 1, is available Nov. 4. Labelmaster, a U.S.-based manufacturer of hazardous materials and regulatory compliance products, says it is offering an Early 49 CFR in the same format as the government release, but with additional features that make it easier to find information.

According to the company, the regulations contained in the book are a must for anyone handling hazardous materials or hazardous waste, or for shippers, carriers or freight forwarders. Regulatory updates include revisions to lithium battery requirements and to the hazmat table. The book contains requirements for markings, labels, placards, shipping papers, training, emergency response and performance-oriented packaging standards. Domestic transportation regulations for highway, rail, air and water also are included.

  • 4-digit number cross-reference table;
  • Easy-to-read hazardous materials table;
  • Detailed index that makes it easier to find the regulation you need;
  • Tabbed sections for easy reference;
  • “How to Use The CFR” section;
  • Color display of hazmat labels and placards; and
  • Adhesive tabs to identify sections.
