Old Dominion Freight Line announced that its warehousing division has opened its first warehouse in Southern California, located at 6055 Randolph St. in Commerce, Calif.

“We are excited to be in the Southern California market, and we are ahead of schedule in our western warehouse division,” says Chris Reynolds, director of warehousing for the Thomasville, N.C.-based less-than-truckload carrier. “Our new facility will give us the ability to better handle all of our customers’ needs. Additional capabilities in Commerce will include shipment consolidation, container deconsolidation, cross-docking, full-service warehousing and all modes of transportation, such as truckload, LTL and air.”

Reynolds says the nommerce location allows Old Dominion to not only service the Southern California market, but also to participate in supply chains originating in the Far East. “The warehouse division will work with Old Dominion’s China partner to perform door-to-door services to, from and between points in the Far East, the United States, Mexico and Canada,” he says.
