Daimler Trucks North America has recognized Webb Wheel Products Inc. as one of its best suppliers for 2007 by presenting the company with the Masters of Quality Award. Webb supplies Freightliner and DTNA with hubs, drums and rotors, sold independently and as assemblies for both original equipment and replacement demand. Philip J. Caplan, OEM account executive, recently accepted the award from DTNA on behalf of Webb Wheel Products.
DTNA presents its Masters of Quality Award annually to an elite group of suppliers that meet rigorous standards and also show a commitment for continual improvement. Daimler’s suppliers are evaluated semi-annually on more than 100 criteria related to quality, service, aftermarket parts availability, engineering, warranty and purchasing; only those rated at the top are recognized with the Masters of Quality Award.
Webb Wheel Products, headquartered in Cullman, Ala., is a Marmon Highway Technologies company that manufactures hubs, brake drums and rotors for medium- and heavy-duty trucks, trailers and buses.
