The Evans Network of Companies announced the opening of a new service center in New Orleans near five Class I railroads. The service center is the first Evans Delivery facility in Louisiana.
“This New Orleans service center will increase our network’s transportation and logistics capabilities to better serve our customers,” says Bill Hohn, senior vice president of sales and business development for the Evans Network, based in Schuylkill Haven, Pa.
The Evans Network has a fleet of more than 1,350 tractors and 80 service centers throughout the country, providing transportation services in the intermodal container and trailer drayage, van truckload and flatbed markets encompassing six divisions: Evans Delivery Co., West Motor Freight, All Points Transport Corp., Hale Intermodal Trucking, Century Express and DM Transportation Management Services, a vendor inbound management company serving the direct marketing and retail industries with more than 350 clients.
