A. Duie Pyle announced Wednesday, Jan. 7, that it now is offering a one-source transportation service to the Caribbean. The service area includes Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, St. Thomas and St. Croix. The new venture, which is being operated from A. Duie Pyle’s service center in Carteret, N.J., involves the shipment of goods from Port Elizabeth, N.J., to the Caribbean.

The new Caribbean service covers next-day inland ground transportation, container loading and drayage, ocean transport and island delivery. “The goal is to provide a single-source solution for shippers, giving them basically ‘door-to-door’ delivery,” says Steve O’Kane, the company’s president. “We saw our clients’ needs and expanded our services to accommodate and further serve those customers. We remain committed to the same level of customer service as we move beyond our normal shipping area.”

Included in the overall service offering to the Caribbean, A. Duie Pyle will provide real-time shipment visibility, with advanced satellite tracking available to shippers in the Northeast, including automatic e-mail updates and advance delivery notification. Complete invoice handling has the flexibility to accommodate all invoicing needs, whether prepaid door-to-door, collect door-to-door or prepaid to Port Elizabeth collect beyond. A. Duie Pyle says it also offers complete documentation handling and dedicated customer services, operating out of both its U.S. headquarters in West Chester, Pa., and Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.
