Comcar Logistics announced the promotion of Barrett Bostick to vice president of sales and marketing. Bostick — who will be based out of the corporate office in Auburndale, Fla. — originally joined Comcar Industries in 1995 and has worked at each of the subsidiary companies serving in a variety of capacities, including customer service, maintenance, management trainee and driver manager.

Bostick most recently served as director of sales for CCC Transportation. Through these responsibilities, Bostick has developed a keen understanding of sales, operations and Comcar’s valued customers. Bostick is the grandson of Comcar’s founder, Guy Bostick, and the son of Comcar’s president and chief executive officer, Mark Bostick.

In his new role, Bostick will be responsible for sales and marketing and building strategic partnerships with key shippers for Comcar Logistics and all Comcar Industries subsidiaries. He also will identify and develop new business opportunities for organizational growth.

In April 2003, three of Comcar’s wholly owned subsidiaries each created internal logistics departments designed to provide incremental truck capacity for seasonal spikes, as well as month and quarter-end surge demands for the customers of all Comcar Industries’ operating companies. Combining these logistics operations to create Comcar Logistics, the logistics and brokerage organization provides asset- and nonasset-based services to shippers across all modes of trucking.
