Intelek Technologies Corp., a software development and professional services company, has announced the availability of its entire EDI software product line on Intelek’s Managed Services Platform.

Intelek says the products included are:

  • DiamondMine, the company’s main EDI software and translator with nearly 6,000 available maps;
  • CLEO’s Lexicom Communications Software, which provides secure alternatives for sending and receiving EDI transactions directly with shippers; and
  • StripMiner, the company’s product that automatically retrieves loads from shippers’ websites with no manual intervention on the part of the carrier.
  • Intelek says this “software-as-a-service” solution will allow its customers to focus their resources – hardware, network and personnel – on the business of moving loads instead of worrying about computer resources to run more software. Other “software-as-a-service” products or managed service offerings from Intelek include network monitoring and e-mail filtering – products that can save trucking companies thousands of dollars per year, according to the ocmpany. Also, Intelek says that by using its professional services group, companies can rely on the company to provide 100 percent of their EDI support without the carrier having to hire dedicated in-house EDI personnel – for a significant savings.

    “Our intent is to continue providing the best, most solid EDI software products and services available to the transportation industry while providing our customers with true cost-cutting options,” says Ron Edwards, president and chief executive officer of Norman, Okla.-based Intelek.

    Intelek says its primary customer base is made up of trucking companies running Innovative Computing Corp.’s transportation software. Intelek says it also has customers running TMW’s transportation software, and with this “software-as-a-service” solution, it also wants to begin looking at companies running home-grown transportation software.
