Phillips Industries recently received the Atlantic Division Best Field Support Award from Palmar, a heavy-duty distributor headquartered in Quebec. The award was presented to Phillips representative Michel Du Bois during Palmar’s annual sales meeting and trade fair, which was held Jan. 17-18 in Montreal. This was a joint effort between Michael Poschner, Canadian national sales manager; Michel Du Bois, territory sales manager of Quebec and the Atlantic region; and John Bailey, territory sales manager of Ontario.
In 2006, Phillips Industries expanded its commitment to the Canadian market when it opened its distribution center in Mississauga, Ontario. Phillips Industries, based in Santa Fe Springs, Calif., now operates three distribution facilities in the United States and Canada, supplying the company’s expansive line of electrical and air brake interface components to heavy-duty distributors and dealers.
Palmar is the heavy-duty division of Uni-Select, specializing in the marketing and distribution of replacement parts for trucks, trailers, other heavy-duty vehicles and buses, as well as tools for vehicle repair workshops, and wheels and mags for passenger cars. They operate 25 stores throughout Eastern Canada.
