Falcon Transport Co. — a Youngstown, Ohio-based truckload carrier with a fleet of 1,200 units offering dry van, dedicated, flatbed and brokerage services — announced that it has implemented the Transflo Express truck stop scanning solution from Pegasus TransTech.

According to David Carter, Falcon Transport’s senior vice president and general manager, Falcon implemented Transflo Express scanning services to take advantage of expedited document delivery. “We are a company devoted to continuously improving our processes, and we believe Transflo Express will help us to provide faster billing,” Carter says. “Transflo Express will take the doubt out of trip document delivery for our drivers.”

Pegasus TransTech says Transflo Express, with no capital investment in scanners for the truck needed, provides same-day access to delivery documents, enabling fleets and drivers to get paid faster. With Transflo Express, drivers hand their trip documents to a cashier for scanning at more than 500 truck stop locations nationwide, including all Pilot and Love’s travel centers, according to the company; in seconds, these documents are delivered electronically to the fleet for immediate billing and payroll processing.

Falcon Transport says it has been using Pegasus TransTech’s Transflo in-house imaging and workflow solutions for several years to streamline back-office processes, reduce DSO, accelerate cash flow and facilitate growth without adding to payroll. “Falcon Transport’s decision to offer Transflo Express illustrates the company’s commitment to improving business processes,” says Frank Adelman, senior vice president of Pegasus TransTech. “We’re excited to offer companies the speed and convenience of truck stop scanning and improved operating efficiencies for the back office.”
