DuPont renews agreement with Penn College

DuPont has extended for five years an agreement to serve as a major corporate sponsor of the Collision Repair Technology Program at Pennsylvania College (Penn College) of Technology. Under the renewed agreement, DuPont will donate liquid coatings and its patented technology Color Proofing system for instructional use in Penn College’s collision repair labs. DuPont also will upgrade the school’s computer and mixing room equipment and provide training for faculty members.

“Penn College appreciates the efforts of Jim Evans, Brian Albans and T. J. Donohue of DuPont for their efforts in bringing this renewal to fruition and the support of our programs,” says Debra M. Miller, director of corporate relations at Penn College. “The relationship with DuPont and with Kline’s Auto Inc. of Allentown, a distributor of DuPont products, continues to be an asset to the students and faculty in our Collision Repair Technology Department.”

“Given the economic environment that the automotive industry is experiencing, a donation of this magnitude attests to the commitment to education by DuPont,” says Colin Williamson, dean of the School of Transportation Technologies at Penn College. “Without such partners, our students would lack the exposure to the latest paint technology. With the help of DuPont, we can graduate an employee who can be productive immediately.”

“We are thrilled to work with the college in the development of their curriculum and to collaborate to bring the latest and best-in-class technologies to students who will be the future leaders in the collision industry,” says Jim Evans, U.S. training manager for DuPont.
