Transplace, a provider of transportation management services and logistics technology solutions, announced a contract with NxStage Medical Inc. to manage shipments of dialysis products across North America.
NxStage says it chose the nonasset-based third-party logistics provider to move product shipments from Mexico as well as to its customers throughout the United States. Transplace says it will use its Transportation Management System (TMS) and business intelligence reporting and analytics capabilities to provide NxStage with realtime shipment visibility and detailed reporting capabilities.
Headquartered in Lawrence, Mass., NxStage Medical is a medical device company that develops, manufactures and markets systems for the treatment of end-stage renal disease, acute kidney failure and fluid overload.
