Eaton Corp. today, June 4, announced a new online resource for companies and governmental agencies seeking to launch infrastructure, modernization or energy-efficiency projects with stimulus funding available through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Eaton says the new website, www.eaton.com/recovery, presents the diverse range of its products and systems designed to help customers manage power more efficiently, effectively and safely.

“An extraordinary time calls for an extraordinary response, and Eaton is ready to help our customers get to work recharging the economy,” says Alexander M. Cutler, chairman and chief executive officer of the Cleveland-based diversified industrial manufacturer. “Across all of our businesses, Eaton delivers innovative power management technologies that can help control cost and reduce energy requirements. We believe these products and solutions hit the sweet spot for customers launching infrastructure or energy-efficiency initiatives.”

Eaton says the new website offers a snapshot of detailed solution-oriented approaches using the company’s electrical and hydraulic products and systems in vital market applications that require effective power management. Potential applications include hydro and wind power generation as well as data centers, hospitals, high-speed railways, airports, public housing facilities, water treatment plants and other key elements of infrastructure.

Additional applications featured on the website include fuel economy and emissions, supported by Eaton’s hybrid power systems for commercial vehicles. Eaton says these offerings complement the program it introduced in March to assist truck fleet owners in applying for diesel hybrid grants available through the ARRA. Eaton says that to date, truck customers have applied for federal grants worth millions of dollars with its help.

Although initially focused on U.S.-based customers, Eaton says it will expand the new website to include assistance for customers in other regions of the world. More information on Eaton infrastructure and modernization capabilities, including integrated services for federal customers and engineering project management, is available at www.eaton.com/recovery or by calling 888-386-1872.
