Phillips Industries announced that the company recently received its second consecutive NAPA Heavy-Duty Supplier of the Year Award. During a May 20 ceremony held at Phillips Industries headquarters in Santa Fe Springs, Calif., the company was recognized again for 2008 as the supplier that best supports NAPA in meeting the expectations of its customers.
Bill Phillips, director of sales, accepted the award on behalf of Phillips from Jay Lott, NAPA heavy-duty general manager. “When we received this prestigious award last year, we committed to improving upon our efforts for NAPA with the goal of achieving this recognition again,” Bill Phillips says. “It’s a tribute to the hard work of the entire Phillips team that we have accomplished that.”
Each year, top suppliers to NAPA are evaluated on criteria that assist the company in meeting its customers’ expectations. Phillips Industries received the highest overall rating for its efforts in 2007 and 2008.
“We view our relationship with NAPA as a major factor in our own success, and we are honored to be a partner with such a fine company,” says Bob Phillips, president and chief executive officer of Phillips Industries. “We hope to have Jay back here next year with NAPA’s 2009 award.”
