Fuel filter/water separators help prevent costly, premature failure

The Racor Division of Parker Hannifin says its 7125R10 and 7125R30 Fuel Filter/Water Separators trap contaminants present in diesel fuel prior to reaching the fuel injection system, protecting against costly and premature failure.

The company says the 7125 is a two-stage filtration and repriming system with an integrated fuel pump, a DC motor with sensorless control technology, and a flow rate of up to 120 GPH. The 12V roller-cell fuel pump has an electric on-demand priming pump, while in the 24V brushless version, the motor shaft directly drives the gerotor, creating a positive displacement pump.

The 7125, suited for both on- and off-engine applications, also is designed with a self-venting drain, a replaceable Aquabloc spin-on filter, a reusable clear collection bowl, a water-in-fuel (WIF) detection probe and a vent valve to purge air during fuel priming.
