  • Owner-Operator Legal Status, Oct. 8, 2 p.m. CT: Attorney Henry Seaton, a specialist in transportation law, will discuss rapidly evolving judicial precedents, as well as ideas being floated in Washington, D.C., that could jeopardize the independent contractor status now enjoyed by owner-operators and the fleets that use them.

  • Retention During a Rebound, Oct. 22, 2 p.m. CT: Consultant Steve Prelipp’s webinar will cover some of the key areas that are most influential in retaining owner-operators, particularly as the economy recovers and driver turnover returns to high levels. Prelipp’s 28 years of management experience include serving in recruitment/retention positions at Schneider National and as president of Cardinal Freight Carriers and vice president of driver development at Heartland Express.

  • Owner-Operator Compensation Trends, Nov. 5, 2 p.m. CT: Are you keeping up with your competitors? Since 1995, the National Transportation Institute (formerly SignPost) has provided truckload carriers with detailed pay profiles to answer that question. NTI head Gordon Klemp will present third-quarter data just in from more than 350 key carriers.
