Trinium Technologies, which specializes in developing systems that drive financial improvements for multimodal trucking companies, announced that Tennessee Commercial Warehouse – Tennessee Express, a warehousing and transportation company based in Nashville, has selected Trinium’s transportation management system.

TCW, which provides transportation and warehousing services in various markets in the Southeast, needed to replace an internally developed application that the company had outgrown. The company required a system that provided both intermodal and multimodal functionality, along with a scalable platform to manage dozens of users across a 10-terminal network in the Southeast.

“Trinium provided the best combination of product functionality for intermodal and truckload operations,” says Dave Manning, TCW president. “Since we use employee drivers, we also required a system that enabled our terminals to interoperate effectively.”

TCW is implementing Trinium’s transportation and distribution systems, document imaging system, event management module, EDI module, customer Web portal and rail/pier tracing interfaces. The transportation system, Trinium-TMS, also will be integrated with the company’s onboard computer system from PeopleNet to automate communication to and from driver and dispatcher.
