PHH Arval announced that its mobile application, PHH Connect, now runs on the Apple iPhone, Android and Windows Mobile mobile handheld platforms. These new platforms are the next phase of mobile devices that PHH Connect supports; the mobile application was introduced for BlackBerry devices in August 2009. PHH Connect is available to fleet drivers using any of these devices in both the United States and Canada.

“We are pleased to expand access to PHH’s industry-leading mobile application,” says Cheryl Middleton, PHH Arval’s director in charge of client-facing technology. “After polling fleet managers to see which devices were most often used by their drivers, we customized this service to meet the unique needs of the clients we serve. By adding these wireless platforms, we dramatically increase the reach of PHH Connect, which is designed to enhance driver productivity and satisfaction.”

Through PHH Connect, fleet drivers have immediate access to various PHH services and call centers. Drivers can contact PHH experts 24/7 for help with accidents or maintenance issues; when a driver contacts PHH, information about the driver and vehicle automatically is accessible to the PHH agent, requiring no input from the driver. Drivers also can use PHH Connect to enter vehicle mileage easily, as well as find the most convenient maintenance facilities.

The application was prototyped by PHH’s Innovation Center, which specializes in rapid prototyping and piloting of the next generation of innovative fleet applications. PHH says it currently is developing additional functionality for PHH Connect in a continuous effort to meet the needs of fleet drivers and improve their efficiency.
