Bloom named president, CEO of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation on Monday, June 21, announced the appointment of Todd Bloom as president and chief executive officer of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America Inc., effective July 1. A 26-year veteran of the commercial vehicle industry, Bloom will be based at MFTA’s headquarters in Logan Township, N.J., outside Philadelphia, and will be responsible for all aspects of MFTA’s business operations. He succeeds Takeo Ishimaru, MFTA chief financial officer, who has been serving as acting president and who will continue in his role as the company’s CFO.

“Todd Bloom is well positioned to lead the Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America organization, and to further develop the Mitsubishi Fuso business in North America,” said Kai-Uwe Seidenfuss, MFTBC vice president of international sales and service. “Mr. Bloom has broad leadership experience with Japanese and import brands in the North American market, and has worked extensively with dealers and customers in a spirit of successful partnership. Under Mr. Bloom’s leadership, we expect the team at MFTA to further grow and strengthen the Mitsubishi Fuso brand in North America.”

Bloom has held a variety of leadership positions in the North American commercial vehicle industry. He joined the Isuzu organization in 1997 and subsequently served as vice president of marketing for American Isuzu Motors Inc., vice president of marketing for General Motors Isuzu Commercial Truck and vice president of marketing and fleet operations for Isuzu Commercial Truck of America. Before joining the Isuzu organization, Bloom held logistics, marketing and operations positions with the Iveco organization in the United Kingdom, Italy and the United States from 1984 to 1997.
