SkyBitz, a provider of remote asset-tracking and information management systems, announced that NFI, a supply chain solutions provider in North America, is adding the newest trailer-tracking system from SkyBitz, the Gemini Series GLS400. NFI has ordered 350 units for two of its dedicated contract carriage fleets servicing high-value cargo accounts.
“NFI first started using SkyBitz trailer tracking on one of our dedicated accounts to provide better customer service, security and to get total visibility,” says Bill Bliem, vice president of maintenance for NFI. “After seeing the benefits from this trailer-racking solution, we saw the need for the technology and the added value it provided to our customers. We decided to add more units to support another of our dedicated accounts.”
With the SkyBitz Gemini Series GLS400 solution, NFI will be positioned to provide improved asset allocation, total load visibility and improved logistics and security to its customers. NFI also will continue to manage its fleets through the easy-to-use SkyBitz InSight Web service to view assets in real time and run customizable management and operational reports for each vehicle in the fleet.
