Penske announced Wednesday, July 14, that it has chosen Yara’s Air1 brand of diesel exhaust fluid to be a primary supplier of DEF across the United States and Canada. Yara says Penske selected its product based on quality, uninterrupted supply via multiple sourcing and its distribution model via the Mansfield DeliveryOne network.

Penske says it has more than 1,000 locations and 200,000 vehicles worldwide and must address all transportation and logistics challenges facing individuals, small companies and complex multinational organizations, including DEF supply. “Yara and Penske have been working together to design a program which effectively and cost-efficiently serves their customers,” says Chad Dombroski, Yara’s director of Air1. “I am extremely pleased that Penske has chosen the Air1 brand and look forward to our long-term partnership, which will offer complete solutions across North America.”

Engines with selective catalytic reduction use DEF, a nontoxic solution that transforms harmful NOx emissions from heavy-duty diesel-powered vehicles into harmless water vapor and nitrogen.
