Western Star Truck Sales showcased its 4900EX model at this year’s Walcott Truckers Jamboree, held July 8-9 in Walcott, Iowa. This was Western Star’s third year attending the Jamboree.
Suited for owner-operators, the on-highway 4900EX tractor features an 82-inch Ultra-High Stratosphere Sleeper with a 560-hp U.S. Environmental Protection Agency-certified 2010 Detroit Diesel DD15 engine with BlueTec selective catalytic reduction emissions technology and an Eaton 13-speed transmission. The truck is well-appointed with premium leather, a driver’s lounge and a refrigerator.

The Western Star 4900EX also can be equipped with a Detroit Diesel DD13 or DD16 engine with BlueTec SCR emissions technology, as well at the Cummins ISX. Sleeper options from 34- to 82-inch also are available.
