Bergstrom Inc., a provider of climate systems to the commercial vehicle industry, announced that its Asian-Pacific operation in Changzhuo, China, has been recertified for the third time as a bronze level Supplier Quality Excellence Process facility by Caterpillar Inc. The recertification demonstrates Bergstrom’s strong values and ethical principles in conducting business, and its commitment to collaborate with Caterpillar’s objective to implement a culture for “zero-defects” across its supply base.
Bergstrom’s facilities in Ystrad Mynach, Wales, Rockford, Ill., and Joliet, Ill., also are certified by Caterpillar. “We are honored that Caterpillar has once again recognized Bergstrom with the prestigious Supplier Quality Excellence Process award,” says Jack Shaffer, president and chief operating officer of Bergstrom Inc. “We view the certification of all of our global facilities as tremendous affirmation of our work together and our dedication to continuous improvement and quality.”
The Supplier Quality Excellence Process is a rigorous program that requires demonstrated process control capability and 6 Sigma discipline in driving continuous improvement.
