Roadrunner Transportation Services announced the addition of a sign-on incentive for new contractors who lease on with the company beginning Oct. 1. Contractors can earn an incentive of up to $2,000 per quarter for the next five calendar quarters from Oct. 1 until Dec. 31, 2011, resulting in a possible $10,000 incentive for top-performing independent contractors.

The incentives will be earned from operating in specific lanes and regions through a point-based system. “This $10,000 incentive is very realistic for contractors who get in on the plan from the very first quarter,” says Mark Pluff, director of linehaul development for the Cudahy, Wis.-basec company. “We’re serious about adding contractors, and the response to this new program has been incredible.”
