Webb Wheel Products announced that Russ Lucas has been hired to fill the new position of severe duty fleet manager for the company’s transit business unit, responsible for identifying, developing and expanding fleet sales within the severe duty markets. Additionally, Lucas will promote Webb products through focused customer attention, grow Webb’s severe duty sales, coordinate product improvements, analyze market needs and trends, and participate as an integral business team manager.
“Russ is a highly experienced, customer relationship builder who brings a great deal of knowledge to Webb as we begin our exciting new emphasis on the refuse and construction severe duty truck markets,” says Randy McGuire, president.
Prior to joining Webb Transit, Lucas worked for Telma SA for 15 years, most recently holding the position of manager of national accounts department responsible for launching the new department and developing new customers, both at the fleet level and original equipment manufacturing. Past employment also included five years with Republic Truck Equipment as sales manager.
