The National Transportation Institute recognized Van Buren, Ark.-based USA Truck, Inc. as a Top Pay Carrier in NTI’s 2011 Survey of Driver Wages. USA Truck ranked in the top 20 percent of carriers nationwide for its excellence in the categories of driver pay, health and retirement benefits and financial stability.
The award was given to USA Truck only after an examination of “the long-term financial success they offer drivers as well as what they provide in terms of job security, retirement income and health and wellness coverage,” said Gordon Klemp, NTI president.
“We are honored to be recognized for our efforts to be a great career choice for truckers,” said Scott Loveday, director of driver recruiting at USA Truck. “We are committed to being the kind of company that quality drivers are looking for. Coming from an independent third party, this award goes a long way to prove we are looking out for drivers over the long term.”
