R H. Sheppard’s service videos, which now can be viewed at www.rhsheppard.com, are designed to help service technicians install and/or repair a wide array of company parts. Video topics include steering gear identification, basic steering gear operation, basic dual gear system operation, maintenance requirements and checks, troubleshooting, relief plunger adjustment, steering gear replacement and repair, bleeding procedures, input seal replacement, sector shaft seal replacement, end cap seal replacement and predelivery inspection. “This doesn’t take the place of the tech hotline – it has been created to enhance the tech hotline,” says Mike Long, field service manager. “We thought it would be a great option for service techs to be able to view the procedures and information online, as sometimes pictures are better than words. We really hope people will use the videos – it’s kind of like training them without being there.”
