American Central Transport Inc., a Liberty, Mo.-based dry van truckload carrier serving major shippers throughout the eastern half of the United States, announced that it is raising pay for owner-operators and company drivers. Effective March 1, owner-operators will receive 98 cents per mile for loaded miles and 90 cents per mile for authorized empty miles. Company drivers will receive up to 45 cents per mile as part of a new “Pay For Performance” pay model.

“We are looking for the best drivers to join our team, and for that we provide the best pay, best company culture and best family feel,” says Aaron Thompson, vice president of operations.
