Xata Corp., a provider of fleet optimization software, announced that it is now a value-added reseller for SkyBitz, a provider of remote-asset-management solutions. Xata says the agreement allows it to provide a complete set of asset-tracking solutions and further validates the success of its strategy to partner with other industry software and hardware companies to provide best-in-class solutions.

SkyBitz specializes in real-time decision-making tools for companies with unpowered assets, such as the trailers managed by the private and for-hire fleets that Xata serves. SkyBitz tools are designed to calculate asset position in mere seconds, reducing power consumption and the cost and inconvenience associated with frequent battery replacement. SkyBitz’s asset tracking solutions are compatible with both Xata Turnpike and XataNet and are offered via one-way and two-way satellites, as well as terrestrial and wireless networks.
SkyBitz offers 50 standard reports, including stops/starts, position history, idle time and battery life. All reports are downloadable for import into spreadsheets, and custom reports are available so users can define and mine data in ways that are most useful to them.
