Eaton Corp. has been recognized by the Ethisphere Institute as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies for the fifth consecutive year. “Eaton’s environmental commitment is backed by a solid environmentally responsible performance, and it shines within the industry as a thought leader that advances best practices,” says Alex Brigham, executive director of the Ethisphere Institute. “It is this sort of sustained adherence to the highest standards of corporate responsibility across the board that has earned Eaton a place on this year’s World’s Most Ethical Companies list for the fifth year running.”

Ethisphere reviewed thousands of nominations from companies in more than 100 countries and 36 industries to determine the winners. The research and selection process included reviewing companies’ codes of ethics, litigation and regulatory infraction histories; evaluating the investment in innovation and sustainable business practices; looking at activities designed to improve corporate citizenship; and studying nominations from senior executives, industry peers, suppliers and customers. “We are proud to be recognized by Ethisphere for our commitment to ethical values, which distinguishes us as a company,” says Deborah Severs, Eaton’s vice president of global ethics and compliance. “Eaton is focused on doing business right through practices that involve the highest standards of honesty and integrity.”
