LTI Trucking Services, a refrigerated truckload specialist, has signed with the Transflo Express truckstop scanning network from Pegasus TransTech. LTI, which soon will be headquartered in downtown St. Louis, operates a fleet of 200 tractors and 300 trailers across 48 states with 250 employees handling critical temperature-controlled products.

According to Controller Sherry Hehle, using Transflo Express means documents such as signed delivery receipts no longer need be sent by courier from the road to the office where envelopes had to be opened and paper scanned. “We want everything done through this system,” Hehle says.

LTI drivers have been using Transflo Express since early January. “The drivers have gotten used to it very quickly,” Hehle says. “It has worked out for them because they feel comfortable that their paperwork has been received by this office and that they’re going to get paid in a timely manner. I’m very, very pleased with the progress with our work force.”

Transflo Express now is available at almost 800 locations, including all Pilot Travel Centers, Flying J-branded truckstops and Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores, as well as scores of independent truckstops.

“We’re pleased to be associated with a customer-oriented forward-looking carrier like LTI Trucking Services,” says Frank Adelman, senior vice president of Pegasus TransTech. “We welcome LTI to the rapidly growing family of Transflo Express fleets.”
