Long Beach port announces bridge closing

The Port of Long Beach announced that the eastbound side of the Gerald Desmond Bridge will be closed on Friday, March 25, from 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. PT for a memorial bicycle ride for Mark Bixby, killed in a plane crash last week. The westbound side of the bridge will not be impacted.

Traffic on the eastbound side of the Gerald Desmond Bridge will be detoured to the Terminal Island Freeway and Anaheim Street as an alternate route.
