PeopleNet, a provider of innovative and integrated onboard computing and mobile communications systems for effective fleet management, announced that it again is the exclusive sponsor of the National Private Truck Council’s Annual Private Fleet Benchmarking Survey.
“Supporting NPTC’s efforts to exchange information and share best practices among its members is yet another way that PeopleNet demonstrates our corporate leadership in educating and serving the trucking industry to enhance their operations’ profitability,” says Brian McLaughlin, PeopleNet chief operating officer.
NPTC will present the 2011 Benchmarking Survey results and preliminary report at its annual conference next week in Cincinnati. The final report of the survey will be distributed to NPTC members later this year and will not be sold to nonmembers.
“Having a leading company like PeopleNet that is highly engaged in the NPTC culture makes their corporate sponsorship a perfect fit,” says Gary Petty, NPTC president and chief executive officer.
The Benchmarking Survey is designed to validate private fleet performance based on aggregate data groupings of peer companies, describe significant trends affecting private fleet practitioners and identify areas of improvement and productivity gains. The identity and substance of individual corporate information/data, once submitted to the NPTC, remains exclusively with the council and is treated with privacy, confidentiality and anonymity.
