Star Fleet Trucking Inc. has signed up for Transflo Express truckstop scanning from Pegasus TransTech. Star Fleet, based in Goshen, Ind., delivers new manufactured homes and RV trailers throughout the United States and Canada, and contracts with about 600 owner-operators from 10 terminals in five states.

Until now, Star Fleet drivers delivered paperwork to headquarters by fax or by hand on return to a terminal. “We’re setting up an imaging system,” says Jeff Davis, Star Fleet IT director. “The images from Transflo Express will integrate into that system. A biller can review the images, make sure they’re correct and then pay the driver and invoice the customer. The biggest factor for us is that Transflo Express will keep the drivers happy. They will get paid faster.”

Pegasus TransTech is available at almost 800 locations throughout the United States and Canada, including all Pilot Flying J Travel Centers, all Love’s Travel Stops and many independent locations. With Transflo Express, drivers hand their delivery documents to a fuel desk attendant for scanning; in seconds, these documents are delivered electronically to the fleet for immediate billing and payroll processing.

“Considering the challenging nature of Star Fleet’s business, we believe Transflo Express will yield excellent benefits,” says Frank Adelman, senior vice president of Pegasus TransTech. “We’re very pleased to be serving an excellent carrier like Star Fleet in this important, specialized area.”
