A. Duie Pyle was the recipient of NASSTRAC’s 2011 Carrier of the Year Award in the Northeast Regional LTL category. The award is an annual program that recognizes transportation providers on a quantitative scale in five key areas: customer service, operational excellence, pricing, business relationship and leadership in technology.

“Carriers and shippers alike perceive this to be a very credible program,” says Joe Estrella, director of transportation and logistics network for CVS/Caremark and NASSTRAC’s current president. “NASSTRAC leverages this annual awards program to continually encourage performance excellence in various market segments of transportation.”

This year, a record number of NASSTRAC members who are qualified buyers of transportation services graded carriers on a 4-point scale in the following categories based upon scope and capabilities: National Truckload, Parcel, Expedited and LTL that includes National, Multi-Regional, Regional-Northeast, Regional-Southeast, Regional-Midwest and Regional-West categories.

“We are proud to be receiving this award for our service in the Northeast,” says Russ Miceli, A. Duie Pyle vice president of sales, who was on hand to receive the award. “Receiving this award for the third consecutive year is a distinctive honor and indicates to us that our predictability has increasing value to the marketplace.”
