Magnum Companies has implemented Transflo Express truckstop scanning from Pegasus TransTech. Magnum – an asset-based logistics services provider with a fleet of 450 units headquartered in Fargo, N.D. – offers truckload, less-than-truckload, logistics and other supply chain services including dedicated operations from eight terminals in Minnesota and the Dakotas.

“So far, the drivers have accepted the change very well,” says Don Jemtrud, chief financial officer. With Transflo Express, Magnum drivers hand their delivery documents to a fuel desk attendant for scanning; in seconds, these documents are delivered electronically to Magnum headquarters for immediate billing and payroll processing. Transflo Express is designed to speed the flow of paperwork, reducing days-sales-outstanding and increasing cash flow.

“It is our first month on the system, and we’re working through the changes in receiving the scans, attaching to loads and billing,” Jemtrud says. “So far it has gone quite well, and we do expect a very positive result on our future efficiencies. We look forward to our relationship with Pegasus TransTech. We feel it will be very positive for us and our drivers.”

Pegasus TransTech operates the largest truckstop scanning network in North America with almost 800 locations throughout the United States and Canada, including all Pilot Flying J Travel Centers, all Love’s Travel Stops and many independent locations. “We’re very pleased that a smart multifaceted company like Magnum has chosen Transflo Express,” says Frank Adelman, senior vice president of Pegasus TransTech. “We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship.”
