Penske Truck Leasing has opened a new $7 million state-of-the-art facility in Cheektowaga, N,Y., a Buffalo suburb. Located at 3828 Broadway St., the 14,000-square-foot building is housed on eight acres and offers full-service truck leasing, consumer and commercial truck rental and contract maintenance services.
“We’re very pleased to make a sizable investment in the Buffalo market with this new Cheektowaga facility,” says Dan O’Boyle, senior vice president – North Central Region, Penske Truck Leasing. “We’re now more centrally located within a thriving business community, and this is where most of our customers and prospects are located.”
Since Penske has expanded into this new and upgraded facility, two smaller nearby facilities in Buffalo (3710 Milestrip Road) and Tonawanda (155 Woodward Ave. W.) will close, along with a Rental Mart in Depew (3263 Walden Ave.). All Penske associates will be transferred to the new Cheektowaga location.
The new location, which is expected to employ a total of 30 associates, contains four service bays, a two-lane fuel island and an automated wash bay. The maintenance shop also uses leading-edge wireless technology designed to enable Penske’s service technicians to automatically connect vehicles in for service with diagnostic and analytic software.
