SAF-Holland has announced the opening of its new 85,000-square-foot Aftermarket Parts Distribution Center in Cincinnati. The facility will supply replacement parts to SAF-Holland distribution centers and customers throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada. SAF-Holland says the location of the new distribution center provides the logistical capability to enhance efficiency and reduce delivery times to distributors and end-users.
“We invested in this central distribution warehouse to improve our level of service to our distributors and, by doing so, improve the level of service to our end-customers,” says Carl Mesker, vice president of SAF-Holland’s North American Aftermarket Business Unit. “We already have world-class distributors. This warehouse allows us to now serve them as a world-class supplier.”
The new distribution center stocks more than 3,000 different parts, assemblies and service kits and employs 11 service personnel. Located at 426 Circle Freeway Drive near major Cincinnati freeways and the Cincinnati International Airport, the facility features 21 dock-high positions with 21-foot ceiling clearances to maximize the facility’s shipping and receiving efficiency.
“The new facility will provide more efficient parts delivery to our distribution network,” says Jason Heath, marketing manager for the company’s North American Aftermarket Business Unit. “Distributor order-to-delivery time is projected to improve considerably, thereby reducing the time customers will need to wait for parts.”
Orders placed on or after May 31 will be processed from the new distribution center. The exception will be full truckload orders, which will continue to be shipped directly from regional SAF-Holland plants.
