Velvac Inc. has announced its 2020XG mirrors now are available as a factory option on all 2011 Ford medium-duty F-650 and F-750 trucks. The mirror system is designed for advanced safety, durability and styling, with options available for both 96-inch and 102-inch body widths on Ford’s chassis cabs.
The manually adjustable 2020XG features a large flat glass and convex glass viewing area, giving drivers continuous visibility of passing lanes and eliminating key blind spots around the vehicle. A pivot system with an adjustable home feature allows the mirrors to fold forward or back for transportation, or upon impact, and to be returned easily to the home driving position.
Velvac engineers designed the 2020XG specifically to meet FMVSS 111 vision requirements for wide-body trucks and vans, and to be 15 percent to 20 percent wider than conventional West Coast truck mirrors.
