DTNA names Giroux director, PR/corporate communications

Daimler Trucks North America on Monday, June 13, announced the appointment of Dave Giroux as director of public relations and corporate communications. In this newly created senior role, he is responsible for DTNA’s public relations strategy, internal and external corporate communications, and media relations for its family of Freightliner, Western Star, Detroit Diesel, Thomas Built Buses and other company brands.

Dave will bring his extensive industry and media relations background to our already accomplished communications team.”

Giroux joins DTNA after serving as Meritor Inc.’s director of global brand management and marketing communications. In that role, he was responsible for the company’s brand transition from ArvinMeritor Inc. to Meritor Inc. Previously, he served as director of marketing communications for Peterbilt Motors Co. in Denton, Texas. Giroux also has extensive international experience operating as ArvinMeritor’s director of corporate communications and media relations in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Giroux and the DTNA communications team are located at DTNA corporate headquarters in Portland, Oregon.
