The Transportation Marketing and Sales Association announced the winners of industry awards at its Annual Conference and Expo. TMSA focuses on the needs of marketing, sales and communications professionals within the transportation and logistics industry. The awards ceremony was held at the Rancho Bernardo Inn on June 7 in San Diego, Calif.
Chip Overbey, senior vice president of marketing, pricing and strategic development at Old Dominion Freight Line Inc., received the Transportation Marketing Executive of the Year award for his work driving growth for his company over the past year. Overbey has more than 30 years of transportation and logistics experience.
The Transportation Sales Executive of the Year award was given to Wm. Todd Thompson, vice president and general manager at Mode Transportation (formerly Exel Transportation) for his work with the company’s sales network, launch of high-priority company initiatives and his commitment to customer development. Thompson has more than 20 years of experience, which spans across all facets of transportation and logistics.
