Bob Costello, chief economist and vice president for the American Trucking Associations, will be a featured speaker at the NationaLease 67th Annual Meeting Sept. 18-19 in San Francisco. The gathering of the North American network of 175 independently owned full-service truck leasing companies takes place at the InterContinental Mark Hopkins San Francisco.

Costello will discuss trucking economic indicators, the financial health of the motor carrier industry, driver issues, fuel prices and federal legislation affecting the industry. In 2010, U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood appointed Costello to the Advisory Council on Transportation Statistics, which advises the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics. He testifies regularly at congressional hearing on trucking issues.

The NationaLease Annual Meeting brings together invited speakers, industry experts, member companies and exhibitors to tackle a variety of topics, including lowering operating costs, improving customer service, capitalizing on national accounts and maximizing the benefits of NationaLease membership.
