Longistics, a full-service provider of global logistics solutions, announced that Pat Long, vice chairman, has been appointed to serve on the North Carolina Department of Transportation Logistics Maritime Task Force Advisory Team. Long joins an advisory team consisting of state officials and other industry thought leaders representing ocean shipping, trucking, rail, manufacturing and more.
The advisory team is part of a study conducted by NCDOT, AECOM and URS that aims to improve the commercial maritime position of North Carolina. Long will serve on the team for the duration of the study and will provide input on the study’s work and help to direct specific industry and constituency outreach.
