As part of Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems’ efforts to foster a corporate culture focused on education, awareness and action, author and advocate Dr. Ann Kulze will share the science of healthy living in an Aug. 23 presentation to Bendix employees and spouses. The event will take place on the campus of Lorain County Community College. Bendix, a major Lorain County employer and a leader in corporate wellness efforts in Northeast Ohio, will host Dr. Ann from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Stocker Arts Center in an event aimed at educating and inspiring healthy eating and living habits.

“Bendix has always been a family-oriented company, so it just makes sense to us to foster a healthy living/healthy lifestyle environment and to provide the tools to our employees and their family members to help them achieve this goal,” says Diane Shields, vice president of HR and organizational development at Bendix. “Dr. Ann’s enthusiasm and knowledge provide an exceptional resource to help motivate our employees and reinforce the importance of wellness as a natural complement to our overall efforts. We’ve seen firsthand the many positive results of equipping employees and their family members with the tools to lead a healthier lifestyle, including early detection of health issues. For Bendix, our efforts have resulted in employees and family members making better choices and building better habits. We believe without these programs and our employee engagement, our healthcare costs would be higher.”
