The Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association and the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association have agreed to continue to co-host their respective expositions at the Bally’s Hotel in Las Vegas, Nev., on Oct. 27-29, 2012, bringing together ATRA’s Powertrain Expo and APRA’s International Big R Show.

“We are pleased that we were able to co-host our exposition once again at the same time as the International Big R Show, which for the last nine years has been held in Las Vegas just prior to Industry Week featuring the AAPEX and SEMA Shows,” says Dennis Madden, ATRA executive director. “Our experience with a joint ATRA/APRA show in Las Vegas in 2009 was beneficial to members of both associations. And it looks like our joint show on October 29-31, 2011, will be another winner. Two great shows for the price of one.”

APRA President Bill Gager says both associations believe the joint show provides each other’s attendees and suppliers with new opportunities and will help them reach more people. “Both associations will continue to offer their broad range of technical seminars and workshops just prior to and during the exposition,” Gager says. “We are pleased that the Bally’s Hotel was able to accommodate the meeting needs of both associations.”

Madden says the combined exposition is good news for everyone. “After our joint show in 2009, and our planned event in 2011 at the Las Vegas Hilton, comments from exhibitors and attendees from both associations were very positive,” he says. “Both associations look forward to working together to make this event a major achievement in the remanufacturing industry.”

Attendance is expected to be more than 3,000 for the 2011 joint event at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel. “We also look forward to welcoming other remanufacturers and rebuilders from a variety of other product lines from around the world to this major event,” Gager says.
